Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Company
With every craft beer and spirit being completely brewed, distilled, and bottled on-site, local is the name of the game at the Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Company. In addition to IPAs, ales (try the Gooseberry Gose!), pilsners, and stouts, they also produce gin, vodka, amaro, rum, moonshine, and whiskey. With so many options, we recommend partaking in a tasting to find your favorite. Before you go, check out their events calendar—it’s loaded with food truck visits, themed trivia nights, and even unique pairing events like girl scout cookies and beer.
Taproot Brewing Company
The name says it all—the Taproot Brewing Company has a farm-to-table restaurant (share the local cheese bite board to get a feel for what Newport, RI really has to offer) with wine and beer flights to boot. Take a look at what’s on tap as it changes frequently, but is always delicious

Twelve Guns Brewing
Proud of its history, the Twelve Guns Brewing name originates from the U.S.S. Providence, an early RI Naval vessel that featured twelve guns. Staying true to the fashion of naming micro-breweries after local landmarks, Twelve Guns Brewing is more about the fun as they highlight 8 rotating beers on tap in a wide array of styles. They also make their own seltzers in some pretty delicious flavors, one of which is blueberry pomegranate. They often have food trucks available for brewery goers, but when they don’t, you can bring your own spread and picnic for the day.
